Sunday we got up early to hit up sacrament meeting. I paid very close attention to everything that was going on. :) As we were leaving the church we ran into President & Sister Davis.
We had head about a cute "old" town called Placerville. We drove for about an hour to get there and The main street is very quaint and has old signs over all the stores. Everything in the city was closed by 6:00. We walked up and down just enjoying the beautiful weather and looking in the windows of all the little stores.
Placerville used to be called Hangstown because it was a popular place to hang all the criminals. We were reading all about it at the building pictured below, but failed to notice the dummy hanging right above our heads. This is supposedly where the tree was that they hung everyone on.
The drive back was so beautiful and we talked about how lucky we are. We were so blessed to have such a fabulous trip and to have so much fun! We are so happy to be where we are in life right now!
