Brigham City Temple
We got tickets to go with the whole family to the Brigham City temple open house. We went to lunch at Maddox with everyone. I love going to see the new temples and see how they decorate them. It is always fun to do things with my family and have Dan with me!

Brighton
I'm always sad that I don't spend more time up at our cabin. But I was so excited when Dan and I got to head up to the cabin right at the end of summer. Its so fun to be up there. Dan got to see his first moose up close! The cabin has so many memories for me and I'm excited to start new ones.

Summer Playgroup
I loved having so many of my friends in town this summer. With so many babies and husbands coming into the picture, we like spending as much time together as we can. We tried to get together at least once a week and go swimming at my parents. Our last week we had 5 kids and 4 adults. 2 babies under 10 days old, a 5 month old, a 2 year old and a 4 year old. It was so much fun!

New School Year
So fun to start out a new school year. There is always anticipation no matter how old you are. I started a huge project this summer, that will be ongoing probably until I retire! :) I'm making practice tracks for all of the songs in my library. The good thing is, I'm getting really good and doing it fast. The bad thing is, I have sooooo much music. But I'm excited to do it. My library is completely reorganized and works with my brain! They've changed my name plate to say Mrs. Black. Its kind of weird. And its even weirder hearing kids call me "Mrs. Black." I'm excited to see what this year brings.

Birthday Boy
Dan turned 29 this year. It was the last day that he had off before he had to go back to school, so I wanted to make sure we had a big party! I asked Dan what he wanted to do and we went through several ideas. We finally settled on Lagoon! We had a blast. It was a perfect day for Lagoon. No lines. Cool weather all day. We had fun going on all the rides. We realized roller coasters are a little more rough on our "old" bodies. I was a little worried a few times when some of my former students checked if I was buckled into my seat safely! We ran around and had so much fun. Laughing the whole time
Getting ready for the Samurai
We decided to ride the SkyCoaster.
SO MUCH FUN!!!
Riding the train!
Later that week I surprised Dan with a roof top Cuban dinner at the City Creek Harmon's. We had good food, good company, we danced a little and had a fabulous night!
I am so grateful for Dan. I have had so much fun being married to him and having him in my life forever! He makes me so happy. He helps me be a better person. Happy Birthday Baby!

Sisters
Wendy came into town this weekend for her 20 year reunion. We all decided that we needed to caravan up to Logan to see Heather & Casey's new house. It is so fun being with all my sisters and mom. We have lots of fun, lots of laughs, and always lots of love!
Love these girls!!

Mommy Daughter Date
Mom and I went on a lunch date to one of my favorites, Red Rock. She, against all normal actions, ordered the delicious bruschetta for an appetizer. It is the most amazing bruschetta ever! She got a cobb salad and I had a turkey roast sandwich on cranberry bread. It was such a tasty lunch.
My mom is the most fabulous person I know. She is so talented, generous, fun, and funny! I look up to her so much. She is ready to help her grandkids & kids. She is the most fun grandma I know. I sure do love my mommy!

Cannery
Dan and I were asked to go put some time in at the cannery.....the OGDEN cannery. Don't worry that Welfare Square is about 4 minutes from our house. But we decided to go and it ended up being a lot of fun!
I've never had a cannery assignment. We ended up being in the packing section of the cannery. I was making sure that all the cans of beans made it into the box all neat and orderly. I definitely had some 'I Love Lucy' moments with those boxes of beans!!
We had a great time. I kept trying to get the missionaries to let me drive the fork lift. They never bought into it. But they did let me drive the palate loader - if that's even what its called.
I sure do love spending time with my hubby. He really is the best!
Holbrook Canyon
We went on a little hike up Holbrook Canyon. Its right across from the Bountiful Temple. It was a beautiful hike. We were in the shade most of the time and Dan carried the treats and water.
On our way down, we decided to run down the trail. It was so much fun being outside and in nature!!!
