Part two of our pre-honeymoon was the annual trip to Newport with the Thorntons. I was very excited for this trip because it would be the first time that Dan would get to meet the Fishlers. We also got to spend more time with the Weeses and the Mathis kids. We flew down and made it just in time to have dinner, and play games with everyone. We could see the very distant 4th of July fireworks from the hot tub.
We spent pretty much every day at the beach! The weather was less than desirable, but it was just so fun to be by the ocean again. We go doughnut holes at New Port beach. The kids just hung out and played in the sand.
One of my family's favorite things to do in Newport is go down to Corona del Mar at night and have a fire pit at the beach after the sun sets. Its always a fight to get a fire pit, but totally worth it! We make s'mores and just hang out until the cops show up to kick everyone out.
We went to Balboa to do some window shopping and of course get a frozen banana. We have a special love for frozen bananas because "there's always money in the banana stand!"
Saturday we went to Crystal Cove. The weather was beautiful. The water was tolerable. Dan has quickly moved into favorite uncle position because he gets down and plays with them.
We had so much fun on this trip with my family. It was great to just relax the whole week before the wedding and hang out with out worries of Dan having to go to work or do any wedding plans. Perfect way to start our life together!!!!
